The EASIEST New England Clam Boil
This traditional old fashioned New England Clam boil is the perfect year round dish. Enjoy this easy to make clam boil, that requires only a few ingredients!

- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 2 TBSP minced garlic
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 quart water
- 1 TBSP crushed red pepper
- 3 TBSP Old Bay seasoning
- 1 can beer
- 1 TBSP onion powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 8 lbs clams
- 1 lb linguica
- 2 sticks butter
- wax paper
- 2 russet potatoes
Add 2 TBSP of oil to a large pot
add chopped onion and garlic, and let simmer for 1 minute
add 1 quart of water, and beer
Add seasonings to broth
Wrap breakfast sausage in wax paper to prevent it from breaking
Add potatoes to broth and cook for 10 minutes
Once potatoes are tender, add wrapped sausage and linguica
Add clams, cook for 20 minutes until clams open
Once clams are done, use a slotted spoon to spoon the clams, sausage, potatoes and linguica into a bowl.
Into smaller bowls, spoon broth into these bowls
Use a small saucepan to heat up 2 sticks of butter, pour butter into small bowls
Serve clam boil, with broth, and butter for dipping
