A Portrait of Me at 17

One of my professors at SCAD was Ben Morris, a master of fashion illustration and a very interesting man—grouchy, sometimes rude, but also a genius who pushed his students as hard as he could. I had to deliver a message to his classroom one day, and he told me to just hold it right there and had his students quickly draw me. He dashed off his version and handed it to me, and then dismissed me without another word. Here it is, 24 years later. I wish I'd taken better care of it, but I know newsprint will inevitably crumble. I thought I'd share it, and a random memory of a man who taught me so much.
